Migration from an Older Version to a More Recent Version

To migrate your yFiles for HTML library to a more recent version you have to replace all files of the older version with the newer ones. For bugfix releases, this is usually sufficient. Depending on your setup, you might have to re-run npm install, for instance.

Migration to a new major version sometimes requires more work. The following sections show the necessary steps for all versions since 2.0. Note that there is a migration tool available which facilitates these steps.

Also, please ensure that you’re using the latest license keys that have been sent to you or your company alongside with your subscription renewal and license upgrade. The validation is done by the included subscription end date. If your subscription is active at the release date of the latest version, your license is valid for that version, even if there is a lover version stated in the key.
