Regular, group, and folder nodes can all have ports of this type, as folding edges may connect to all of them.

It's a direct representation of the master port. Folder nodes have both GROUP_NODE_REPRESENTATIVEs and FOLDING_EDGE_PORTs, but no MASTER_PORTs.
