Provides constants to change how the distance between clusters is determined.

Remarks

The linkage criterion has a direct effect on the dissimilarity value, which represents how close two clusters are for the clustering.

Constants

AVERAGE

: number

Perform mean-linkage (or average-linkage) clustering.

Remarks

The distance between two clusters is the average distance between each pair of nodes.

COMPLETE

: number

Perform complete-linkage (or maximum-linkage) clustering.

Remarks

The distance between two clusters is determined by the maximum distance. Clusters thus are as close as the pair of nodes that are furthest away from each other.

SINGLE

: number

Perform single-linkage (or minimum-linkage) clustering.

Remarks

The distance between two clusters is determined by the minimum distance. Clusters thus are as close as their closest pair of nodes.
