This edition of the yFiles Developer's Guide relates to major version 2.10 of the yFiles graph visualization library.

new polyline edge routing algorithm that provides orthogonal edge routing and octilinear edge routing and seamlessly supports edge/port grouping (bus-style edge routing) for both routing styles
new support for octilinear edge routing in IncrementalHierarchicLayouter
new class RoutingStyle that adds support for configuration of different routing styles for different edge types
new layout stage class PolylineLayoutStage adds octilinear edge routing to existing orthogonal diagrams as calculated by OrthogonalLayouter, OrthogonalGroupLayouter, DirectedOrthogonalLayouter, and CompactOrthogonalLayouter, as well as by OrthogonalEdgeRouter, BusRouter, and ChannelEdgeRouter
new class PreferredPlacementDescriptor adds configuration support for preferred placement options and preferred rotation behavior for edge labels

yFiles Viewer:

new mouse wheel scrolling support for the view
new action class EditLabelAction supports customization of label text editing
new support for edge-split gesture when dragging a node onto an edge in the view
